One winter, a shadow fell across the valley. The Beast of Marrow Hollow, a serpent said to be born of frost and fury, began descending into farms, stealing livestock and spreading fear. The Kaiser was summoned.
He came without fanfare, carrying a staff etched with ancient runes. While warriors sharpened swords, The Kaiser sat at the river’s edge, listening to the wind. He ventured into the Hollow alone. For three days the mountains trembled.
He returned bruised and bloodied, but victorious. The beast was no more. All he said was, "Even monsters cry when they're seen."
